Quark casserole is the protein dessert par excellence! In this post, I’ll show you a super simple recipe for a fluffy curd casserole with blueberries.

Quark Casserole

I saw quark casserole for the very first time on social networks. Of course, I was well aware that you can bake quark and make desserts out of it (e.g. cheesecake), but I never came up with the idea of making a casserole out of quark on my own. How fatal! – I think to myself today. If you are in the mood for a dessert that can be rated as “healthy” and is super rich in protein, you won’t go wrong with this casserole.

The quark mass is quickly mixed from egg, quark, a little vanilla sugar and 1 ripe banana and refined with blueberries. For the sweet aspect, I sprinkle a cinnamon-sugar mixture on the quark mixture and off you go with this sweet dream. I would describe the baking time as an average long, especially because impatient people like me constantly run to the oven and do the stick test. But when the casserole is done, the feast really starts! But be careful: this portion is not for the small appetite!

Quark Casserole with Blueberries

Ingredients
  • 1 ripe banana
  • 1 egg
  • 500g low-fat quark
  • 100ml almond milk (or milk or water)
  • 1x vanilla sugar
  • 50g blueberries
  • 2 tbsp. cinnamon & sugar
Directions
  • Step 1 Mash the banana with a fork and whisk with an egg. Puree both finely and foamy with a hand blender. Fold in the vanilla sugar, low-fat quark (mixed with milk) and blueberries .
  • Step 2 Pour the quark mixture into a baking dish and sprinkle with cinnamon and sugar .
  • Step 3 Bake the quark casserole in the oven at 160 degrees O / U for 50 minutes until it is no longer liquid in the middle (stick test).

In this post I’ll show you a quick and delicious recipe for a sweet apple-cinnamon porridge with caramel sauce.

If you like sweet breakfasts too, I have a recipe for you from breakfast heaven. Creamy-sweet porridge in combination with crunchy apples and a sweet caramel sauce. In short: my apple-cinnamon porridge catapults you directly into the sweet breakfast heaven with the first spoon and won’t let you out again at first.

My recipe for this delicious apple-cinnamon porridge is also super easy, quick to prepare, requires only a few ingredients and is therefore perfect for a hearty breakfast on the weekend or as a sweet meal in between.

Apple-Cinnamon Porridge with caramel sauce

Ingredients
  • 100g oatmeal
  • 750ml almond milk
  • 2 apples
  • 2 teaspoons of cinnamon
  • 1x vanilla sugar
  • 4 tbsp cane sugar
  • 100ml cream
  • 10g butter
  • optional extra sweetness for the porridge
Directions
  • Step 1 Bring the oat flakes with vanilla sugar and 1 teaspoon cinnamon in the almond milk to a boil over medium heat. Stir again and again until a creamy mixture is obtained .
  • Step 2 Meanwhile, cut the apples into small pieces and fry them in the butter in a pan with cinnamon .
  • Step 3 Add cane sugar and caramelize over medium heat. Then deglaze with cream and stir everything into a creamy mass .
  • Step 4 Let the porridge steep and optionally add more liquid or sweetness to achieve the desired consistency and taste. Then serve with the apples and the caramel sauce.

In this article I will show you how you can prepare a creamy blueberry porridge with nuts and other fruits in no time at all.

Porridge

There hasn’t been any creamy porridge on my breakfast table for far too long. There was a time when I actually ate porridge every morning. Even on summer vacation at 35 degrees! Especially now in winter, the blueberry porridge is returning to my breakfast table. For me a real superfood, because it is very rich in good nutrients.

For my porridge, I prefer to mix tender and crunchy oat flakes and use almond milk to boil. You can of course freely choose according to your taste whether you use water, milk, coconut milk or any other liquid to boil. The nice thing about porridge is that there are no limits to the freedom of design!

Blueberry Porridge with Nuts

Ingredients
  • 50g mixed rolled oats
  • 300ml almond milk
  • 1 tsp tonka sugar
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • 50g blueberries
  • 1/2 banana
  • pomegranate seeds
  • 10g mixed nuts
  • 1 tbsp agave syrup
Directions
  • Step 1 Mix the oatmeal together with the almond milk, tonka sugar and cinnamon and bring to a slow boil over medium heat for about 10 minutes.
  • Step 2 Once the desired consistency is reached, pour the porridge into a bowl and top with blueberries, banana and pomegranate seeds. Sprinkle nuts and drizzle with agave syrup.

In this post I will show you a popular recipe for breakfast: Egg Benedict on a really good sandwich with lettuce, tomatoes, avocado and crispy fried bacon. There is of course hollandaise sauce and some parsley.

Egg Benedict

Do you know those cozy Sundays on which you have a lot of time and are totally in the mood for a special and unusual breakfast? I love these days and spend a lot of time there in the morning in the kitchen at home. With a lot of love I prepared this great breakfast on one of the past Sundays: a poached egg Benedict on a crispy fresh slice of bread with well-dressed lettuce, tomatoes, avocado cream and fried bacon.

How to prepare poached egg for egg Benedict well has to be learned. It didn’t work for me the first time either, but it’s the same as always: practice makes perfect. If you have never boiled a poached egg, I definitely recommend a tutorial at YouTube to look at. Alternatively, I wrote you instructions in the recipe.

Ingredients
  • 1 slice gray bread
  • 1 egg
  • 10g mixed lettuce
  • 1/2 tomato
  • 100g bacon
  • 25g guacamole
  • 15g hollandaise
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon vinegar
  • 1/2 teaspoon sugar
  • a little lemon juice
  • vinegar for cooking
  • salt, pepper
Directions
  • Step 1 Bring a small pot of water to a boil with a good splash of vinegar. Crack the egg and set aside in a small bowl. Using a spoon, stir a swirl into the water in the pot. Tip: The swirl should be so heavy that you can see the bottom of the pot. Now you have to be quick: Pour the egg into the strudel so that the egg white turns around the yolk.
  • Step 2 Let the egg cook in the pot for about 3-4 minutes
  • Step 3 Meanwhile, fry the bacon in a pan.
  • Step 4 For the salad dressing, season olive oil with vinegar, sugar, salt and pepper and a little lemon juice. Then toss the mixed salad in it and lay it out on a slice of gray bread. Slice the tomato and place it on the salad. Spread the avocado cream over the tomatoes and lay the fried bacon on top. Finally, take the poached egg out of the water and place it on the sandwich. Serve with hollandaise sauce.
